Languages
The app is available in English and German.

Sound
The sounds can be switched on and off at any time.

Speaker button
The read-out function can be switched on and off with the speaker button.

Texts

Storytelling mode
In storytelling mode the entire text appears immediately on each page. You can have it read out fluently.

Syllable mode (only German version)
In syllable mode the text appears syllable by syllable through tapping the read button at the bottom centre. The text is shown in two colours. You will find further information under “syllable method”.

Word mode (only English version)
In word mode the text appears word by word through tapping the read button at the bottom centre.

Reading and read-out function

Read button
By tapping the read button in syllable or word mode the text is shown gradually. If you keep your finger on the button the text will be shown or read out at the speed of the syllable or word length. In storytelling mode the read-out function is started or cancelled by doing this.

Back button
Tapping the back button briefly in syllable or word mode will take you back to the last syllable/word. Holding the button down for longer will take you back to the beginning of the entire text.

Speaker button
The read-out function can be switched on and off at any time with the speaker button. This is meant to be an incentive for the child to read the text again by himself straight after reading together with the read-out function.

Turning pages

You can leaf backwards and forwards through the pages by tapping the right-hand and left-hand side or by swiping the area.

Home

The home button takes the app back to its starting position. In word and syllable mode texts previously read are no longer displayed and must be read again.
